Hello Everyone and welcome back for another episode of how to make money with affiliate marketing. In this article we are going to tackle the meat niche, that does sound weird when you think about it. Nonetheless, we are going to soldier on and dig into how you can make money selling meat without ever have to deal with the actual meats themselves.

Can You Make Money Selling Meat With Affiliate Marketing? The answer is an absolute yes. Not only by promoting the meats themselves in the form of food delivery services or meat suppliers but also by promoting the accessories, recipes, grills, and smokers that go into making a good piece of meat.

In fact, I think this is one of the most versatile niches out there for bloggers or Youtube channels, whether you are a wiz in the kitchen or a master of the grill or just love a good cut of meat and want to tell people about it this might just be the niche for you.

One that can quickly turn that passion for meat into a nice side income or even a full-time job with some hard work and patience. I know it sounds weird to refer to it as the meat niche but that accurately describes what it is

A Closer Look At The Lucrative Meats Niche

Starting Your Meats Niche Blog

There are quite a few guides online on how to prepare and sell your own meats but these require a huge amount of overhead, dealing with inventory and having to worry about rules and regulations in your region regarding the sale of food products.

So here is a simpler way to monetize your passion for cooking and preparing all manner of meats. Affiliate marketing. You produce the content and get the traffic and customers but you let someone else deal with the actual products and you get a nice commission every time someone uses your affiliate link to buy something.

One of the first things you’re going to want to do when you start to build your Niche business is to sign where you want to publish your content. There are a variety of places that you can do it.  two of the best places to do it are with a traditional blog and written content and with a  YouTube channel where you can produce video content.

You can also use Instagram or Pinterest if you want to go that route.  However, I think Pinterest is more of a complimentary place to put your content and Instagram can be awfully difficult to break into unless you have an audience ahead of time.

A Traditional Written Blog

One of the first things you’re going to want to do when you start to build your Niche business is to sign where you want to publish your content. There are a variety of places that you can do it.  Two of the best places to do it are with a traditional blog and written content and with a YouTube channel where you can produce video content.

You can also use Instagram or Pinterest if you want to go that route.  However, I think Pinterest is more of a complimentary place to put your content and Instagram can be awfully difficult to break into unless you have an audience ahead of time.

The written blog or website is really the traditional place to play your content. It’s great for a variety of niches because you can add images and videos into the content which can link out to other pieces of content or affiliate links that help monetize that content. It’s also a huge wave of consuming content for a lot of people. Video is certainly picking up steam but a written blog is a great compliment to that video as well as a great place to be your primary content publishing source.

Starting up an affiliate marketing website and does take a little bit of investment.  You are going to need to find web hosting for your website as well as a domain for your website. The domain is about $15 a year so a little bit over a dollar a month and you can find great web hosting for under $5 a month.

The bottom line is for under a hundred bucks you can start your own business online and then it’s just up to you to create the content is going to draw on the traffic and ultimately are new commissions through affiliate marketing.

Trying to do that in a brick and mortar store would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get started and then you have to worry about all the logistics and regulations.

Web Hosting For Your Blog

The two major things that you want for your web hosting is speed and up-time. They are crucial for running a good website and should be your top priority. Your website needs to be fast for good user experience and it needs to be online whenever someone clicks on your website in a search engine forum or link from another website. It just needs to work without you needing to worry about it too much.

I Find Bluehost to be the best web hosting for your niche blog. But there are dozens if not hundreds of options available, choose one that meets your budget and does what you need it to do.

So do your research and find one that fits your budget and the speed and up-times that you are comfortable with, the backends will likely be the same and you will be working mostly in WordPress anyway which works the same regardless of your web hosting choices.

Choosing A Domain

A domain is simply your address online. It can use the dot com, dot net, dot org, or a number of regional suffixes for your website. I always recommend you choose the dotcom domain if at all possible. It is worth it even if you have to tweak it slightly from your desired domain name.

A domain name should be descriptive but not too long and if possible it should be memorable. Calling your site Bob’s Smoked Meats is ok, but something like achoicecut.com(available at the time of writing) might be a bit more memorable and interesting.

YouTube For Your Content

YouTube is another great option for a place to publish your content. The skills you need are going to be a little bit different from the writing you need when building a traditional website or blog.  And there’s no upfront cost at 4 making a YouTube channel,  Unlike with a traditional block where you need to buy web hosting and domain at the very minimum.

However, there are some costs with a YouTube channel in the form of video and audio equipment that you’re going to need to make professional videos. You can always start making videos with just a smartphone but eventually, you’re going to want to take your business to a professional level and purchase vet professional level equipment so that you can make the best videos possible.

YouTube is going to work better for some niches than it is for other. In the meat or cooking or grilling Niche YouTube is a great option. If you can consistently produce good videos of you  cooking the meat or sharing recipes of the rubs that you used or doing a review of a meat subscription box,  then you are going to do very well with that type of content.

I always find the best way to utilize YouTube is to build it alongside a written blog and then Interlink them between each other. That way you get your own little ecosystem of traffic you send it from YouTube to your website and vice versa and you get multiple chances to promote products for affiliate marketing and ultimately multiple chances to get commissions from any affiliate marketing sales. Don’t worry if your first videos are terrible they are for most people, keep making them and you will get better at it.

Pinterest Is An Option As Well

Another option to place your affiliate links and to use as a source of traffic for your written or video content is through Pinterest. Pinterest is a bit hit or miss depending on your niche. A high percentage of their user base is female and as a result, certain niches do much better than others. Fashion, health, fitness, and cooking are among the best performing niches on Pinterest.

Where does that leave your meat niche content? It might work well in the cooking niche but you should be able to generate some traffic and sales using images and content based around grilling and meat. Grilling might not be as popular with women as it is with men but there is a sizable portion of women grillmasters and potential meat enthusiasts that make Pinterest worth your time.

A few pins for each article you rite or each video you make can really be a very productive source of traffic for your business. In some cases it can act as the main source of traffic.

Instagram Might Work For You

Instagram is also an option for your affiliate marketing business in the meat and cooking Niche. I’ve never had much luck with Instagram and I don’t particularly like it or use it for anything. But if you can make it work for yourself and you can pick up  another traffic source and another place to display your content.

Monetizing Your Affiliate Niche Blog

I’m going to discuss the three major ways to monetize your affiliate marketing website. There are others to be sure but these are the three that I think everyone who is starting in this business should focus on, to begin with. Advertising, Affiliate Programs, And Info Products are the three that are going to make up the bulk of your monetization stratagy for the first few years of your businesses lifecycle.

Advertising On Your Blog Or Youtube Channel

I’m not going to spend too much time on Advertising as a way to monetize your website. It is a very basic concept. You simply join and add Network, like AdSense, and then they will place advertisements on your site. This is not going to be very lucrative until you start getting a decent amount of traffic. And even then there are times when you will only get a few dollars a day from this type of monetization.

A big part of how much you can make off of advertising is determined by the niche that you are in. For a cooking Niche or a meat Focus Niche, I don’t think that you’re going to get a huge Return from these advertisements but you always want to have them on your side as long as it’s not going to slow your site down too much. Rest absurd, it will add a nice amount of income once your traffic picks up.

Affiliate Programs For Your Meat Niche Blog

A while back I put together a list of 10 meat affiliate programs as well as a top 10 list of grill and BBQ affiliates. I recommend checking them out ofr a more indepth look at each one and a brief description of what dto expect from those affiliates.

Keep in mind that those affiliate on my lists are just a few of the hundreds of potential affiliate programs that you could use for this niche. Many food delivery affiliates would work great as well as some subscription box services.

One great example of a meat affiliate and a subscription box service that you can use for your meat niche blog is Butcher Box, you can check out my full review of their affiliate program here. These are the types of partners you want to be seeking out for your niche site or your youtube channel.

Many people often overlook the value of adding affiliate links to the descriptions in their youtube channel and they are just leaving money on the table if that is the case. Whether you place links in your written content or on your Video pages they are all great places to utilize affiliate marketing programs.

Info Products

Info Products are an incredibly profitable method of monetizing your Niche website or your YouTube channel. Essentially you are creating a product above and beyond your traditional content and then selling it to your audience.

It’s incredibly lucrative as I mentioned but it’s also incredibly difficult to pull off. For one, you need to invest quite a bit of money into the actual product itself in order to get it to a professional state.  Next, you have to get enough conversions from your existing audience to support the investment you’ve made.

Traditionally information products do not convert at a rate as high as your traditional affiliate marketing products. If one or 2% of your audience buys your info product that is considered to be a pretty good return.

So as you can see it’s a pretty high-risk Venture and one that you really shouldn’t attempt until you have a large and solid group of course or audience members. And then you need to make sure that you are Niche supports info products.

The meat and Grilling Niche is a place that is probably on the borderline of making an info product. There are certainly places for a recipe book about how to marinate and cook your favorite meat dishes.  But those are not your real high-end information product.

Creating training videos on how to properly cook meat, especially long cook times like smoking meat, is something that you could do but it’s going to require a lot of upfront investment. You would need a lot of equipment and meat to properly get that type of info product off the ground.

Still, it is something that you should definitely consider a year or two into your affiliate marketing meat business. The great thing about info products is that work alongside affiliate marketing and advertisements for your business.
