Amazon Associates is notthe only game in town and if you can find solid affiliates with good commissions to use instead of Amazon you can make quite a bit more money.

Today I wanted to take a look at one of the most popular linen brands around and see if their affiliate program is something you should be looking into.

Brooklinen is the brand in question and we will be digging into varoous aspects of the Brooklinen affiliate program to see how it looks for everyday marketers out there.

I think it is important to point out right off the top that this is a look at the affiliate program and not the Brooklinen products and company. They are an amazing linen company with some of the best products you could imagine.

Its a razor thin margin. you need to make sure that you are the last stop before someone makes that purchase or you run the risk of loosing out on the commission entirely.

What To Expect From Brooklinen

Brooklinen is known for its sheets and linen and that will probably make up the bulk of your promotion activities but they do have other products as well.

Linen might be what Brooklinen is most know for but they do have a good selection of other products like towels, blankets, and pillows for you to promote on your niche site.

Here is a look at some of the other items your might consider promoting through this affiliate program.

  • Comforters
  • Pillows

The products are very good so everything should be just fine.

This is a the problem, in a sense.

You get to promote some of the most popular and highest quality sheets and linen when you are accepted into this affiliate program.

But, as mentioned earlier, you are going to get a tiny commission and an incredibly short tracking cookie duration. Great products for your audience and a pretty poor affiliate commission for yourself.

So what to expect from Brooklinen is very much up to your expectations. At 1% it is going to be tough to generate the type of income you need for a full-time business.

You would need a ton of traffic and that traffic might be better served to send it to another linen company that offers better terms, for your bottom line at least.

But if your audience loves Brooklinen and little else then you will wnat to make the best of the low commission by promoting their products.

My best advice is to have a backup plan with other affiliate programs to run in other pieces of content on your site.

That way you can supplement the low commission while still promoting the Brooklinen product line that is so popular.

In other words diversify your income streams as much as possible when using an affiliate program with a low commissions and tracking cookie.

Best Niches For Brooklinen

The best niches for this affiliate partner are going to be short and to the point. I can’t really see many niches outside of sleep, bedding, and home decor that would really benefit greatly from this affiliate partner.

You can make a case for using this affiliate in the pillow niche, but there are better pillow affiliate program options with better commissions.

They do offer some towels to promote but they are limited and you can find better affiliates dedicated to towels if you need one.

However, this should not be viewed as a negative. The more focused your affiliate program are the better they are going to preform as long as you stay within the niches that are specific to these products.

Closing Thoughts

That wraps up our look at the Brooklinen affiliate program.  I think it my feeling about this affiliate program is a bit of disappointment.

On the one hand you have this great product that you can promote that is popular and high-quality and is really the epitome of the type of product that you want to promote as an affiliate marketer.

On the other hand you have an incredibly low commission and a very short tracking cookie that makes it very difficult to get the most out of promoting of these products.

There’s still a possibility here of making a good amount of money with this affiliate program. But I would only recommend established Niche sites with solid traffic already flowing to that site to use this affiliate and get the most out of it.

There are simply more efficient affiliate programs to use in the sleep and linen niches that are going to give you bigger commissions and enable you to make a little bit of money with less traffic.

The quality of those products might not live up to the Brooklinen line But there has to be a trade-off at some point if you can’t realistically make a good enough amount of money with a certain affiliate program.

The products are absolutely the most important part of an affiliate program end Brooklinen has some of the best products around.

But that commission needs to be serviceable and I don’t think a 1% commission is really serviceable for people who are just starting out in this business.
