Welcome Welcome. In this article, we are going to be taking a look at a perfume affiliate program with a subscription box service. The Scentbird affiliate program gives you the opportunity to promote a subscription box with designer perfumes and fragrances delivered every month.

This affiliate would be a great addition to a beauty niche blog or website, especially one focused on fragrances. It will also make a great alternative to Amazon Associates because there is some overlap in the designer fragrance brands.

Let’s see just how good an alternative it is by diving into the underlying numbers.

The Scentbird Affiliate Program Commission

The commission is always the most visible part of any affiliate program and the Scentbird partner program is no exception. They offer a $14 flat fee for new subscribers to their perfume Subscription Service.

The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s yet another subscription box service with a flat fee. This is quickly becoming the standard in the industry for subscription boxes.  It’s a fine deal for the affiliate marketer but it’s a great deal for the business behind the affiliate program.

Essentially they pay out a large percentage of the initial subscription price but then get the pocket all the income going forward.  If everybody cancels after their first month then it doesn’t work at all for the company but if they continue on then it becomes very profitable for them.

That’s not to say that the affiliate marketers getting a raw deal here. Not at all. You’re basically getting a finder’s fee for new customers to the Scentbird affiliate program.

And it’s a pretty generous one when you look at the overall cost of the subscription service which runs around $15. So you’re getting almost 100% of the initial sale. You can’t really argue with that. Would it be nice to get the recurring commission, absolutely,  but that is just not the affiliate marketing world we live in right now.

The Tracking Cookie

The tracking cookie for the Scentbird affiliate program is pretty standard. They offer a 45-day tracking cookie duration. The price of the Scentbird subscription boxes doesn’t really require a super long tracking cookie as you would need with a high-ticket affiliate.

What Is Scentbird All About?

Scentbird is a monthly perfume subscription box that delivers perfumes and scents for a collection of over 450 colognes and perfumes. You get a monthly supply of the fragrance for a very reasonable price.

This is a great addition to any beauty niche blog or website. Adding a subscription service is always a good idea for any niche and here you have one of the few perfume subscription boxes out there, although they seem to be popping up more frequently lately.

The typical monthly price for their perfume subscription service is around $15 dollars although they do have sales from time to time and you can make good use of those sales to increase your conversion rates.

Some of the brands offered by Scentbird include:

  • Prada
  • Versace
  • Gucci
  • Cartier
  • Tom Ford
  • And Many More

If you are in the perfume or beauty niche then these brands are among the most popular and well-known ones out there. This makes it much easier to promote the subscription services when the products in the box are from such huge brands.

The name recognition of many of the fragrances and Brands behind them that ship out with their subscription boxes is going to go a long way in increasing your conversion potential with this affiliate program.

It’s always conversion potential until you actually run tests on your website and see how well it converts with your specific audience. You want to make sure that you have every advantage that you can when you go in run your tests to see how well this particular for the program is going to perform and the brand names are certainly going to benefit you greatly in the long run.

After that it just comes down to how well you position your affiliate links within your content and how relevant that content is to your audience.

This is going to take some trial-and-error but once you get the hang of it you’ll be able to know exactly what type of content the Scentbird affiliate program is going to be most comfortable in and ultimately give you the best results.

The Bottom Line On The Scentbird Affiliate Program

I think this is a very good affiliate program for a beauty niche website. People love these subscription boxes and I always try to include at least one in any Niche site that I decide to build as a business.

There are a few of these perfume subscription boxes out there so you would probably want to find the one that works best with your specific audience and leverage that one instead of trying to put all of them into your content at various points.

The only downside with this affiliate program, from my point of view, is that they offer a flat fee instead of a recurring Commission. The recurring commission would give you recurring income month after month after you make a sign-up but most subscription boxes go with the flat fee so they just make an initial payout and then can pocket the ongoing monthly subscriptions in perpetuity.

That being said the $14 flat-fee commission is pretty generous considering the cost of the initial subscription is around fifteen bucks. It would work out to be close to a 100% commission which is great no matter how you cut it.

You will need to generate a bit of traffic to get the Scentbird affiliate program up to where you want it in terms of income. At $14 a sale you’re going to need probably 10 or so sales per day to really make a great income with Justice affiliate program.

That’s why I would suggest having other affiliate programs alongside this particular one. You definitely want a large perfume affiliate program where you can send your audience if they just want to buy a bottle of perfume or a bottle of cologne. But always try and keep your affiliate programs to between 5 and 10 so you don’t overwhelm your audience.

To wrap everything up I would definitely consider the Sandberg affiliate program if you are looking for a subscription box service in the perfume or beauty niche.  It looks to be one of the better affiliate programs that you can use out there right now.
