The old saying an affiliate marketing is that you can sell just about anything. That makes anything you can think of a potential Niche and most of the time it’s going to be a profitable one.
There are some exceptions, of course, there are some places where you’re going to be hard for us to make a decent amount of money.
But even those small little tiny micro-niche can still generate a few hundred bucks a month.
So we’re going to look at in Micro niche right now they can generate for more than a few hundred bucks a month.
In fact, this micro-niche can really be used as the foundation for a full-time income-earning website.
Of course, I’m talking about baby blankets and baby quilts. It is very specific in its scope.
It’s in one of the most popular and most profitable blogging niches that you can think of. Anything in the baby product Niche is going to be a potential gold mine for a blogger.
By breaking it down into this tiny little Micro Niche we can get our foundation built for our website while trying to avoid some of the larger competition.
Don’t get me wrong there is still a lot of competition in all aspects of baby blankets.
Whether you’re trying to sell the blankets himself or teach people how to make them from scratch you’re going to run into some competition so you still going to have to be very crafty about how you build your content.
How you promote your content and how you choose your keywords for your content so that you can drive a ton of traffic to your baby blanket website.
the question I am going to answer here today is how to make money selling baby quilts using affiliate marketing.

There Is Just Something About Owning Your Own Business. Being Your Own Boss. Building Something From The Ground Up With Your Own Hands. Especially When It Is This Easy To Get Started.
Why Start A Baby Quilt Blog?
What do you need to start a baby quilt blog?
Well, you need your basic stuff to start any website. You need web hosting and a domain. These aren’t the most important things, though. These are the technical things that you need.
What you really want to have when you start any blog is a passion for the subject. So for a baby blanket blog, you would most likely have a young child that you searched for blankets for.
Or maybe a family member had a child and you decided to sew your own blankets for them and now you want to share that experience with other like-minded individuals.
Or have a passion for sewing and decide you want to teach people how to make these wonderful little crafts.
That’s really all it takes to start a successful blog. Passion and a little bit of upfront money to get web hosting a domain and some affiliate marketing training.
And then it’s just about creating the content and crafting your articles so that you have your own voice and your own opinions and you’re sharing them with the world.
I mean what I say world I’m not being hyperbolic. You will have a worldwide audience once you start getting traffic. You’ll be surprised to see where some of these people are coming from to read what you have to say about baby clothes.
And so you want to supply the best most helpful content around this particular Niche that you possibly can. So let’s get into the nuts and bolts of the blog we’re going to start with traffic and I’m going to talk a little bit about the content that you can create in order to get that traffic.
Getting Traffic To Your Baby Blanket Blog
Traffic is the second most important aspect of your website, right behind the actual content on the site.
Without traffic, you don’t have an affiliate marketing business. Without traffic, you don’t have a Shopify business or a drop-shipping business or your own online store to sell your baby clothes.
Traffic is the goal it is the end-all-be-all of monetizing an affiliate marketing website. If you can get the traffic then you can get the money.
But the traffic always comes first and it must be your focus in order to maximize the potential for your Niche website.
So here are five of my favorite places to generate free organic traffic that you can use to help build your new website.
- Forums
- Quora
- Search Engine
- Youtube
Forums
Forums very good way to get traffic to your brand new blog. In the early days of your baby quilt blog, you are not going to get a lot of organic traffic from search engines.
So you need to supplement that with other ways to get people to your blog.
So an ideal way to do this is to find relevant forums for your niche, in this case, baby blankets and write helpful content in the forum and then leave the URL to your Niche blog.
What you don’t want to do is just go and leave two-sentence answers and dump your domain name at the bottom of your Forum post.
This will get you banned from most forms and will be useless when you try to get traffic to your website.
You need to really be thoughtful and constructive when you leave Forum posts and build a reputation as someone that helps in the forum then you can start leaving your website address and it will generate a little bit of traffic.
Forums will never be your primary source of traffic but they are great early on to get a little bit of traffic flowing through your baby quilt website.
Here is a good example of a baby quilt forum thread that you can use to help generate a little bit of traffic.
Quora
Quora another often overlooked place to get a little bit of traffic flowing into your new website.
In the case of a baby blanket blog, you’re going to want to find questions that relate generally to the creation, upkeep, or just general questions about baby blankets.
Like forums, you are going to want to provide good helpful content before you start throwing your website URL around.
Quora has become a little bit stricter in recent years on policing spammy useless posts the people are simply using to market their affiliate products or push you to a sales page.
So be sure that you’re providing real valuable content and helpful content.
And most importantly be sure that you are answering the questions asked and not just going off on a tangent in order to make a sale for your affiliate programs.
But if you can stay within the lines and play Within the rules on quora, then you have a place that you can generate a little bit of traffic for your website.
Again this won’t be your primary source of traffic but it is a great place to get started when you were just starting out and you need all the traffic you can get.
Pinterest is one of my favorite places to generate a little bit of extra traffic for your website. In fact, it can generate a lot of website in specific niches.
Fortunately, baby blankets are a good niche for producing content on Pinterest. It’s a very visual Niche, you can have pictures of cute babies and the little blankets are in which is always going to sway people.
But the great thing about Pinterest is it’s not really just social media. It’s the internet’s biggest visual search engine. So essentially it is Google but with images.
So you approach it the same way you would as Google or Bing by creating good content that gets ranked and people see your content click on it and it sends you traffic.
The difference, of course, is your trolling people in with pictures instead of little Snippets of your article.
So there’s an art to getting the right balance between information and how good an image looks on Pinterest.
It’s something that you going to have to tour around with and figure out what works specifically for the baby blanket niche.
It is a great place to not only get traffic when you’re just starting out but to generate a good amount of traffic to your website as you grow it.
There are some cases where Pinterest is the primary source of traffic for a particular website. Getting to that point is going to be pretty tough and take quite a while but it can be done.
The reason that’s important is Google and being can be very fickle with their ranking algorithms and we’ve seen in recent months and years that websites of inexplicably been dropped from rankings for no particular reason just because they ran afoul of some algorithmic change.
So having a diverse traffic strategy is always a great thing and Pinterest fits perfectly into that strategy. Especially for a baby blanket blog or website.
Search Engines For Your Baby Quilt Blog
Search engine traffic is going to be by far your largest source of traffic for your baby quilt blog. It’s really the focus of your entire website.
You want to craft content that’s going to rank high in the search engines and in turn draw that traffic to your website.
What makes search engine traffic so ideal for a Blog is that people are actively searching for what you are writing about.
If you were to do paid advertising, for example, you would have advertisements that are related to what they’re searching for but not exactly what they’re searching for. and of course you would have to pay for this advertisement.
The search engine traffic that we are looking for is 100% free all you have to do is create the content and you will start to see the traffic come in.
Now it sounds great but it’s not as simple as that. Because it takes time to earn the trust of these search engines in order to get the rankings that you need to draw in the amount of traffic that’s going to really make your website and success.
You also need to make sure that you are targeting the right keywords. Target keywords with too much competition are not going to get you the traffic that you want.
Search engine traffic is a zero-sum game, you are either on the first page and in the first couple of positions or you’re not going to get traffic.
Most of the traffic that’s searching for any specific term is going to click on the first search result the majority of the time.
If you’re in the second or third position you will get some of that traffic but it goes down exponentially further down the search engine traffic you get.
So for a niche like baby blankets you were going to want to dig deep into some long-tail keywords to really get some of the specific traffic for these lower competition keywords.
There’s a variety of ways to find keywords for search engine traffic. You can use Google auto-suggest which is a great way to do it.
And of course, you can pay for keyword tools that will help you find good keywords to use for your articles.
However, they are extremely expensive and they’re quality can vary greatly. So you have to find one that you really like and it really works for you.
Youtube
YouTube is becoming increasingly important in generating traffic to blogs. In addition, Youtube is becoming a great place to build a business in and of itself.
However, YouTube works best when it is paired with a website that you can send people to and keep them in your ecosystem.
Producing videos to augment your blog articles is also a great way to get better rankings. Articles with videos seem to rank a little bit better than those without.
I say seem to because it’s not confirmed, Google is very very close door about what exactly constitutes ranking criteria.
what having a video on your article does do is keep people on that article longer and that certainly helps with ranking that particular article.
the real huge benefit that YouTube offers is that you are creating content that is really future-proof.
That speeds increase people are more and more likely to watch a video on a subject rather than read an article on the subject.
At least initially, video seemed to be a great gateway to get people to read your articles on a specific subject.
So it’s not a case of the video completely wiping out the written word it’s a case of your YouTube videos being a great compliment to your articles and again keeping everybody in your own little baby blanket ecosystem.
Other Traffic Sources
There are of course many other places you can use to generate traffic to your website. Some of these include many of the social media platforms.
Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook are three of the most popular ones that you can use to try and generate some traffic for your website.
However, I don’t feel that these are really great avenues for you to pursue when trying to generate traffic for a niche website. The reason for that is these social media Outlets want to keep you on their platform.
So they’re very reluctant to send you away to a new website even if you’re the one sending them to the website through some of your posts.
It’s tough to generate a lot of traffic from any of these social media outlets.
They can be useful, of course. If you’re good with Instagram or great on Twitter or already have a following there, then it’s a good idea to produce a little bit of content that will draw people to your website from the social media platforms.
Content Is King For Your Baby Quilt Blog
No matter how you get your traffic, content is still going to be the most important part of your baby blanket website. It’s the most important part of any website.
Content is the reason why people go to your site. They want to see what you have to say about this specific topic that you are proficient in.
your content can be a wide variety of things with her it’s writing articles about how to sew your own baby blankets. Or a video tutorial about how to stitch initials into an already existing baby blanket.
Content can also include pictures of the baby quilts that you yourself have made. You Can combine them all onto your blog to create great articles that people come to and want to read.
And then you create a whole ecosystem around your content you write an article about the 10 best materials for a baby quilt. In that article, you have a video showing the 10 best materials for a baby quilt.
And on top of that, you make a Pinterest image of a great baby blanket that you sold yourself up in it to your Pinterest account.
You have another source of traffic and another chance to promote your affiliates by keeping your readers in your own ecosystem.
But the Cornerstone of that ecosystem is always going to be the content that you create. Your content will make or break your affiliate marketing business.
Your content combination is going to be mostly how to informational type articles. These are great for ranking in Google and in the other search engines, they provide a ton of value and are very helpful.
In addition to these informational post, you’re going to want to put a few reviews in of some of the products that you’ll be promoting.
You don’t want to go overboard on product reviews as they’re tough to rank and if you’re feeling your posts with a ton of affiliate links than Google is not going to rank them as High.
Ideally what you want to do is link your information supposed to your review post or as I like to call them your money post.
This gives you a web of internal linking that’s can Channel all over the traffic that you bringing in through your informational post right into your money post.
It’s the best way to go about it as it keeps your rankings high and delivers you the traffic to your money pages.
Monetize Your Baby Quilt Blog
You’ve got your baby’s quilt blog started you got some good informational content but now you need to monetize it. So what’s the best way to go about this?
There are three main ways that you can monetize any blog and in this case your baby’s quilt blog. Advertising is the first and most basic. Informational products are the most advanced and potentially the most lucrative.
Affiliate marketing is probably the most sustainable and most popular way to monetize a baby quilt block, or any Niche blog to be honest. First of all, going to take a look at advertisements for your niche blog.
Advertisements For Your Baby Blanket Site
Advertising on a nice blog is pretty straightforward. You sign up for an ad service and then you just place them on your website. simple right?
It’s not that easy.
Yes, you can just put them on wherever you want and hope for the best. But chances are you’re not going to earn much income at all from advertisements if you don’t have a good premium ad Network supplying you with ads and placement of those ads on your website.
The issue with the pre-med networks is that they usually require you to have a certain level of traffic before you can even be accepted into their program.
One example of this is Ezoic, they typically need you to have around 10,000 page views a month, but they have been known to let people in with somewhat less than that. In my opinion, this should be the first real add Network that you decide to put on your website.
Messing around with the single ad placement companies like AdSense or MediaNet without a lot of traffic is really a recipe for disaster.
All it takes is a handful of fraudulent clicks from someone that doesn’t like your website or a competitor that happens upon it and they can kill your ad since account before it ever really get started.
So the best course of action for a baby quilt block, or any type of blog, is to build up the traffic before putting ads on your site.
Another reason it’s a great idea to build up traffic before putting ads in the side is ADS will slow your site down. They will just slow it down in some cases considerably.
So when you’re trying to rank early on in your website doesn’t have a lot of authority you want to limit anything that could hurt your ranking.
Page speed is certainly ranking factor and if you slow your site down enough of plugins and advertisement your rankings could suffer.
Once you do get enough traffic to go and get one of these premium ads at Network Services then advertisements can really bring in a good amount of revenue for your website.
Will it be the number one source of income?
Probably not, because affiliate marketing is so effective and it can be done with such a smaller amount of traffic.
Informational Products For a Baby Quilt Blog
The next source of income that you can use on your baby blanket blog is called and information product.
these are any type of product or course or service that you put together that your readers or audience are going to pay an additional fee for.
These can be just about anything that you think your audience is going to be willing to pay an extra amount of money for.
The thing about information products is that they need to be tailored to your specific audience so while I’ll give you a few examples for a baby quilt block, they may be no-goes for your specific audience.
For this reason informational products or something that you build later on a year maybe two years down the line when you get a solid readership.
Once you get a feel for what your specific audience wants or needs.
And then you can kind of craft your informational product specific to their needs. Trying to shoehorn your own idea of what a baby quilt information product should look like into something that’s going to make you money is really a recipe for disaster.
One of the reasons for this is because you are going to need to have some upfront expenditures to make a professional and well-crafted informational product.
So for a baby quilt blog, an information product could be a series of training videos on how to stitch images into a baby quilt.
Another idea would be how to sew and create the baby quilts themselves. You could do a whole series of training videos on how to create these wonderful little crafted items.
The one last thing and I’ll leave you with in regards to information products is that they are not for everyone.
Most people not going to want to take the time and upfront investment needed to create a high-quality professional information product that they can sell to their readers.
That’s perfectly fine. But those of you that think you can put a great one together you’re going to be rewarded with a very very significant increase in income to your niece block.
A good informational product can triple the income of your website in a matter of weeks.
Selling Baby Quilts With Affiliate Marketing
The last way to monetize your baby blanket blog is with affiliate marketing. Now, this is the first source of income that you’re going to want to attempt on your new niche blog.
It’s the easiest income source to get started with.
All you need to do is sign up for an affiliate marketing program and then put your link somewhere on your website so is that when people click on it you refer them to the store and they make a purchase and you get a commission.
It’s a straightforward method. Course the issue is getting that actual traffic to your website and getting people to click on your link. that’s really the Crux of affiliate marketing.
It’s very simple in concept but very difficult to actually get that all-important traffic exactly where you need him to be at the exact time you need them to be there.
Ideally, you want people to be clicking on your links when they are ready to make a purchase and not when they’re in the gathering information phase.
The Cornerstone to any good affiliate marketing business is having quality affiliate programs that you can promote on your website.
It’s important to pick ones that are going to convert well with you or specific audience and it has the most relevant products and services for your chosen niche, in this case for the baby quilt niche.
Here Are four examples that you can use for your Baby Blanket Website.
Project Nursery | 5% | 30-days | Sign Up |
Nested Bean | 2% | 30-days | Sign Up |
Fabric.com | 8% | 30-days | Sign Up |
Goosebump Blankets | 10% | N/A | Sign Up |
Sewing Your Own Baby Blankets
Another aspect of a baby quilt block that you might want to take a look at is sewing your own baby quilts.
That doesn’t mean that you have to leave affiliate marketing behind though. Instead of using an affiliate program that sells the actual blankets you use affiliate programs that sell the materials to make those blankets.
There are plenty of great sewing affiliate programs, you can find ten of our favorites right here, that you can use to monetize a baby quilt website that focuses on the creation of the quilts.
Teaching people how to do it and how to create a variety of different blankets with a wide array of materials.
On top of the affiliate programs that Supply the materials oh, you can actually sell your finished products through your website or you can use something along the lines of Amazon FBA or a website like Etsy to generate a little bit more income for your website.
I want to make this point, however.
Using Amazon FBA and it’s easy to sell your own products without a Blog is not a great idea. It’s hard to generate enough interest just from people browsing Amazon or Etsy.
You really need focused content on your blog that’s going to drive people directly to your products on either of those platforms.
You can also use eBay as a replacement for Amazon or Etsy. But I feel like Amazon FBA and Etsy would be the best places to sell your baby quilts if you were looking to go that route.
One last option is to sell your own products directly on your website.
Now, this would require you opening a Shopify store and you would have to deal with inventory and returns and all the other things that go into your own retail business.
It’s one of the reasons why affiliate marketing is so desirable is that you don’t have to worry about all the overhead that a typical business does have to worry about.
So that’s just a little way to add a little bit of value and a little more income to your baby quilt block if you choose to make your own and then sell them.
My Closing Thought On Baby Blanket Blogs
And that brings us to the end of our article. sometimes in order to make big things happen, you have to think small.
You’ve got to start in a small little Micro Niche and then work your butt off to build something that is going to grow into an incredible online business for you and for your family.
Building an online business based around baby blankets might seem a little unreasonable even.
But it’s absolutely not, people have built profitable affiliate marketing sites out of everything from socks to pontoon boats and everything in between.
Almost anything can be a niche and there are plenty that can be fantastically profitable if you put the work in and create the right kind of content for it. So I hope this gives you an idea of how you can go about starting your own baby blanket website.
