Hello everybody, welcome back to the site. Today we are going to be taking a look at one of the up-and-coming niches that you can build your business around online. Of course, I’m talking about overboard, particularly overboard affiliate pgroams.

Hoverboards have been around for a few years and have had their ups and downs in terms of popularity currently we’re in a bit of a Down Trend I would say with hoverboards but this is the perfect time to get into the niche.

So we are going to take a look at a few of the best hoverboard affiliate programs that are out there right now for you to take advantage of.  There aren’t a whole lot of hoverboard specific affiliate programs currently available. What’s much more prominent is electric bike or scooter affiliate programs that have categories or sections that cater to the hoverboard community.

This is going to change in the coming years as hoverboards become more profitable to make and sell and they become more mainstream.

When that happens you’ll start to see a lot of hoverboard affiliate programs pop-up that only deal with hoverboards and it’s going to be a good idea to transition over to them when that happens but for now, these affiliate programs should get you started on your way.

There Is Just Something About Owning Your Own Business. Being Your Own Boss. Building Something From The Ground Up With Your Own Hands. Especially When It Is This Easy To Get Started.

Hoverboards are going to be a niche that changes and evolves quite a bit in the coming years. I would try and combine hoverboards with other forms of transport that are related. Scooter niches are a great place to start to incorporate a hoverboard affiliate and build out from there.

Street Saw Affiliate Program

Street Saw has a very substantial collection of hoverboards that you can promote on your niche website. They also have hoverboard parts accessories and repair options as well.

Their boards come in a variety of colors, sizes, and models giving you plenty of potential content to use for your website or youtube channel.

The commission is about 10% for this affiliate program. It seems to be a pretty good commission percentage especially given that some of the products are quite pricey and you can turn a nice profit I’m just a few sales a day.

The tracking cookie duration is not readily available so be sure to ask about it when you sign up for the program to make sure that you were going to have enough time to promote their products and still get credit for the sales commissions.

MegaWheels Affiliate Program

Megawheels is more of a scooter affiliate program and somewhere to get accessories for those scooters and hoverboards. So technically it’s not a hoverboard specific affiliate program but there’s a lot of crossover between these two sectors and I thought that it would be a good idea to add this into the list if for nothing else I can give you a good option on where to expand your hoverboard Niche website into more of a scooter or electronic transport type website.

The tracking cookie duration for this affiliate program wasn’t readily available at the time of publication so be sure to ask about it when you join their partner program.

The 5% commission is not great but it’s also not terrible. Ideally want a much higher commission for any affiliate program but some Industries simply won’t allow it because of the overhead of producing selling and shipping the product.

So you can certainly make do with a 5% commission if you can get the conversion rates right where you want them.  That said if your conversion rates are not a sufficient level and your audience isn’t really engaging with this particular affiliate program then it might be time to move on to something  That’s going to give you a little bit better commission to compensate for it that conversion rate.

eWheels Affiliate Program

  • Commission: $50 Flat Fee
  • Tracking Cookie: 30-days
  • Auto-Approval: No
  • Join eWheels Affiliate Program

eWheels is an interesting affiliate program. It doesn’t fit into a scooter affiliate program or a hoverboard affiliate program exactly but it would work for either niche quite easily. They sell an electric unicycle. It is a novel idea that will make for some great content for any electric transport niche website.

They offer a $50 flat fee for sales through their affiliate partners. Their products are quite pricey so a percentage might be better here but a 50 dollar flat fee should do nicely. 2 or 3 sales a day is a great foundation for any online business with this affiliate. The tracking cookie is 30-days which should work out decently for most affiliates.

Lamboscooter.com Affiliate Program

The affiliate terms are pretty standard for this partner program. They offer a very competitive 10% commission for their affiliate partners. I will never complain about a double-digit commission percentage as you can always find ways to make money with a commission like this.

The tracking cookie duration could be a little bit longer for the types of products that you will be promoting. While I wouldn’t classify them as high-ticket items they do run into the multiple hundreds of dollars, so a longer cookie would be nice. However, the 30-day duration should not have much of a negative effect on your conversion rate.

Trendy Scooter Affiliate Program

Trendy Scooter Has a good selection of scooters bicycles and of course hoverboards that you can promote on your hoverboard Niche website. Their hoverboard section isn’t the largest but this is still a pretty young industry so you can’t really expect to find a lot of entire affiliate programs dedicated to nothing but hoverboards.

So, for the time being, you’ll have to settle for having a good scooter or electric bike website that has a section on hoverboards that you can use to promote those products.

I couldn’t find any information on the tracking cookie duration in their affiliate program material. I would ask about the tracking cookie duration when you sign up for their program just to make sure it’s something reasonable like 14 or 30 days and not something really low like 24 hours. Most likely it’s going to be reasonable however.

The commission is 5%. This is not great but for this particular Niche, it’s pretty decent.  It’s all going to come down to how well you can get their products converting with your specific audience to determine just how viable that 5% commission is.

What To Look For In A Hoverboard Affiliate Program

When deciding on which hoverboard affiliate program to use for your Niche website you want to try and get as good of a balance as you can between all the factors of an affiliate program and the products they sell.

They are all important in their own way and finding a balance between each factor is the best course of action. A super high commission is pointless if the conversions are bad or the products are terrible.

The Products

Let’s start right there with the products. You’ve got to promote products that are high quality and that resonate with your audience or you will never make any money. This is true in hoverboards, this is true in any blogging niche.

The products for this niche are obviously hoverboards but you need to check on the other products and services related to that hoverboard as well.

Does the affiliate program have a warranty for their hoverboard? What about repair options or parts and accessories?

You want to cover as many bases in the hoverboarding niche with your affiliate programs to make sure that when someone needs something related to a hoverboard and they come to your website you have an answer for them and a place to send them.

The products that you’re promoting are the consumer-facing aspect of an affiliate program. Your audience members aren’t going to care what the conversion rate is what the tracking cookie is, what the commission is. They’re going to care about the product and whether it suits them and their needs.

To always keep in mind that you are promoting products to actual human beings and don’t lose sight of that and try and Chase huge commissions for bad products.

The Commission

On the affiliate marketer side you want to have a decent commission. I always draw the line and about 5% with one very big exception. That exception of course is amazon.com. They offer typically around a 4% commission and they have a pretty poor tracking cookie that weighs in at about 20 hours.

Their affiliate terms are not good. But they are so big and so ubiquitous with online shopping that you can get away with those lower commissions and the poor tracking cookie as long as you have a steady stream of traffic coming in.

That’s not always true for smaller affiliate programs. You need to have a good stream of traffic but you also need to sell that affiliate program above and beyond what you have to do with Amazon for example.

The bottom line is that you want to find a commission that is going to make you enough money with the amount of traffic that you’re getting. It’s going to be very personalized and you’re going to need to run tests to figure out exactly where that sweet spot is and what affiliate programs are going to be best for your specific audience.

Cookies and Conversions

The last two things I would take a look at our the tracking cookie And the conversion potential. The tracking cookie is not overly important as long as you’re not dealing in super high ticket items. Anything 30 days plus is going to be just fine for 99% of affiliate marketers out there.

As for the conversion potential that’s a little bit trickier. You were going to need to run tests for each affiliate program to figure out how well it resonates with your specific audience and that is going to have a direct impact on the conversion rate that you were going to get for that particular affiliate program.

Of the things that are going to affect the conversion potential are the type of content, you are riding how good that content is and how well your optimization is for picking up traffic from search engines or YouTube or Pinterest or any other traffic source that you can come up with.

This is just the cliff notes version of all the things you need to know to be a good affiliate marketer in the hoverboarding niche or indeed in any Niche.
